We came to the UK after Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2024, leaving our lives behind. The constant shelling of our cities and blackouts due to the Russian-destroyed power grid in Ukraine forced us to look for a safer place to raise our children and educate them. We adapted to the new environment relatively quickly and found permanent jobs in educational projects in West Yorkshire.

As we settled in, we realisAed what it was that helped us to settle down so quickly. Firstly, it was the incredible hospitality and support of the British people. And secondly, we started our journey in a new country with a good knowledge of English. One of us taught English to children in Ukraine before the war. The other worked in an English language school and now teaches English at a college.

After two years abroad, when we saw that the war was ongoing and that its consequences for our country would be felt for decades to come, we realised that we had to help our country not only by supporting the army and donating. Our goal is to create opportunities for children to learn and create their future. In 20 years, these children will be rebuilding our country.

We would be grateful for your support and for spreading the word about us. The more people join the project, the more children we can give a future to.
